Logo
The logo design is based on a Celtic symbol known as the five fold knot. Originally the five fold knot was the culmination of the four elements; fire, water, earth and wind. Each element was represented by one of the outer circles. Another circle is placed on top, centering at the point each of the four circles meet, symbolizing the balance of the four.
DCTV wanted to achieve balance through different means working together. Each of the four circles in the logo symbolize these different means working in unison to achieve the goals of Dublin City television.
